Hi, yuli.
ResponderBorrarIt’s Christmas time in Colombia! Let me tell you about it. We usually celebrate with our family and friends. There’s lots of music, dancing, and delicious food.
My family usually serves chicharrón, which is fried pork belly with salt. It’s very crispy and we eat it with arepas or yucca. We also have buñuelos, made with cheese and corn flour, and tamales, which are made with corn dough, meat, and vegetables, wrapped in plantain leaves.
For dessert, we eat natilla, a sweet dessert made with milk, cinnamon, and sugar. We also drink hot chocolate with cheese, which is a very traditional combination in Colombia.
Christmas is my favorite holiday because we share food, music, and happiness with the people we love.
How do you celebrate Christmas in your country? I’d love to hear about it

My favorite Holy Week food is mote de queso. It's made with yams, and some people add yuca, water, salt, cheese, and vegetables like onion and garlic. For me, Holy Week represents something religious, like the death of Jesus.
ResponderBorrarMy favorite holiday is Christmas because it's the time when my family gets together the most. During this season, we make delicious foods such as buñuelos, which are made with milk, flour, and cheese, as well as chocolate, which also uses milk and chocolate, or natilla, which is made with flour, milk, and cinnamon.

My favorite celebration is Christmas, especially in Venezuela! We spend time with family and friends, listen to music, and enjoy delicious traditional food.
ResponderBorrarWe eat hallacas, made with corn dough, meat, olives, and raisins wrapped in plantain leaves. We also have pan de jamón, a soft bread filled with ham, raisins, and olives. For dessert, we enjoy dulce de lechosa, a sweet papaya dessert.
Holy Week
ResponderBorrarDuring Holy Week, I usually travel to my mom’s house, and we spend that week together as a family.
The food that can’t be missing is chicha, which is made with corn flour, water, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla essence.
We also prepare motes, which can be made with cheese or fish. They include yam, different vegetables, and seasonings. The cheese one, in particular, includes sour cream and coconut juice.
My favorite holiday is Holy Week. In my town on the coast, we spend this time with our family and friends. We eat delicious food, especially fish, coconut rice, and fried plantains. We also prepare cheese empanadas and coconut sweets. On Good Friday, we don’t eat meat, so we cook fish stew with coconut milk. For dessert, we have enyucado and dulce de papaya. I love Holy Week because the food is traditional and it feels peaceful and joyful.

ResponderBorrarIn Colombia, we celebrate Independence Day on July 20. On the Caribbean, we dance, play music, and eat tasty food with family.
We cook arroz con coco, fried fish, and patacones which are crispy green plantains. A special dish is sancocho, a soup with meat, plantain, and yuca.
During Easter Week, I like to eat a traditional dish called bandeja costeña. It is made with coconut rice, fried fish, patacones, and salad. For me, this plate is very special because it reminds me of my family and our coastal traditions. When we eat it, we feel close to our culture and enjoy the taste of the sea together.

Hi Dessi,

We eat them with custard and sometimes with hot chocolate. They're delicious!

Hi!.
ResponderBorrarHoly Week is my favorite holiday because we’re on vacation and my whole family gets together. Everyone helps to prepare the food. We usually make my favorite meal — stewed duck with oranges, coconut rice, and juice made with panela and lemon.
That meal is very special to me because it reminds me of all the beautiful moments I share with my family.

My favorite holiday is January 20th, when we celebrate the Fiestas de Toros in my town. It’s pure happiness music, dancing, people in the streets, everyone enjoying the day under the sun.
ResponderBorrarMy favorite food that day is fried fish with patacón. The fish is fresh, seasoned with garlic, lemon, and salt, then fried until crispy. The patacón is green plantain smashed and fried golden and crunchy. We eat it with rice, salad, and a glass of guarapo de panela with lemon, sweet and refreshing. It’s simple, but it tastes like home and joy.
That day means family, music, and the true flavor of the coast. Nothing beats that!
Hi, my favorita holiday is Christmas! Let me tell you about it. I always celebrate this special day with my family. There's a lot of food. My family cooks a lot of delicious food, and lots of snacks. My favorite food is coconut rice with lamb and Coca-Cola. It's a very tasty meal. This special meal has the following ingredients: rice, coconut, and lamb. We also make custard, fritters, grapes, and we buy many types of sweets. For me, this meal is special because the whole family contributes in the kitchen and, above all, because we all want to have a wonderful time.

Hi, María.
ResponderBorrarMy favorite holiday is Christmas. It's the most beautiful time of the year. My family and I decorate the house and the Christmas tree as soon as December begins, and we use different colors every year.
We like to make tres leches dessert, which is made with three different kinds of milk. For Christmas Eve, we like to make meat in sauce and mashed potatoes. The meat is cooked with seasoning, and the sauce is made with tomato paste, spices, and a little cream. For the mashed potatoes, peel and cook the potatoes with a little salt, then mash them while mixing in milk and butter.
For the novenas, we usually make caramel custard with cinnamon. In a liter of milk over low heat, we add the prepared custard mix and stir it. Then, when everything is mixed together, we add the cinnamon and serve it in glass containers to let it rest before storing it in the refrigerator.
However, every year we try to innovate with our Christmas Eve dinner.
Who is your favorite celebrity? Best regards.

In the Christmas season, my family always has a get-together. On December 8th, the whole family gets together and we have a dinner; the main dish is pork with vegetables that my godmother always makes. She prepares it with salt, paprika, vegetables, onion, garlic and butter and puts it in the oven. Sometimes she accompanies it with rice or boiled potato it's delicious.

Holy Week
ResponderBorrarDuring Holy Week, we usually celebrate with our families; they come from different places.
We dance, play, and have fun.
It's traditional to make "mote" during Holy Week. There are different types: cheese, fish, "palmito", etc. The ingredients of mote of cheese are: cheese, water, ñame, vegetables, and "suero"(optional). I love mote de queso (Delicious!!!). They also make different types of sweets: ñame, cassava, rice, papaya (they call it "caballito"), etc. They also make rice with beans or coconut and clown salad; they're all delicious. They also make mango juice; there's a lot of it during that time. I like mangoes.
